If you’ve managed to open the dungeon by defeating the initial challenges and are preparing to dive deeper into the forgotten tomb, you should be aware that proper preparation is key to surviving.
What Should I Prepare?
Here’s what you should bring:
- Weapons – Bring at least two or three weapons with you, or a repair kit to maintain your gear during the dungeon crawl.
- Diamond Wand – Yes, you’ll need a diamond wand. Be sure to craft one before venturing deeper.
- Food and Water Supplies – I recommend bringing 20 grilled meats and 5 bags of waterskin. Don’t forget to drop off used waterskins along the way to make room for any items you collect.
- Healing Items or Herbs – Bring along healing items or herbs, just in case things go wrong and you need quick recovery.
- Optional – If you feel lonely or need extra help, consider bringing along a big native guy to act as a meatshield, mule, and companion.
Bonus Tip: You can farm diamonds from the ruins. They sometimes drop from female mummies or can be found inside treasure chests scattered throughout the dungeon. Good luck!
The Showdown
Now that you’re properly prepared and have reached the 10th floor of the Dungeon Ruins, it’s time to face your old buddy — the Guardian, typically found near the Blue Treasure Chest and two braziers (aka the dungeon exit).
Here’s how to take on this boss:
- Find the Guardian and kite it near any nearby pillar. Make sure there’s some space between you and the pillar to give yourself room to move.
- DO NOT get stuck between the pillar and the Guardian. Its attacks can pass through the pillar, and you’ll be vulnerable to both its slice and fire attacks.
- Once positioned, start hitting it with your ‘F’ or special attack until it expires. Keep attacking until the fight is over.
Conclusion
After a long and exhausting battle, you’ve finally defeated the Guardian. Now, it’s time to loot the valuable treasures and the shiny sword it dropped. Don’t forget to grab the loot from the blue chest on your way out!
